Doug Garnett is an expert in advertising communication, television, and direct response television. He is author of “Building Brands with Direct Response Television” and Chief Executive Officer of DRTV agency Atomic Direct. He is an adjunct professor of general advertising at Portland State University and writes and speaks regularly to share his vision of how brand clients can leverage the power of TV.

Doug also has extensive experience with technology. He started his career at aerospace giant General Dynamics then designed and developed 3D engineering software. He moved into marketing while selling supercomputers and typesetting software before finding his true home – in advertising. His high tech advertising work has included campaigns for digital satellite television (DirecTV), cell phones (AT&T Wireless), the first internet appliance (the Netpliance iOpener), mobile gaming (Limbo), and many more.
